Widening the door to the game we love.

Our mission

Flyover FC exists to make competitive youth soccer accessible — to remove the cost barrier that decides, long before talent or effort ever do, which kids get to keep playing. We're a nonprofit club, in formation now in the Kansas City metro, built on the belief that a family's budget shouldn't cap a young player's future.

How we keep it within reach

We measure the whole cost. Dues are only part of what families pay. We plan around total family cost — fees, travel, and kit together — because that's the number that actually keeps kids in or out.
A nonprofit, not a business. We're organizing as a nonprofit so the club answers to players and families first — not to a bottom line — and what we raise can go toward keeping the game affordable.
Development over pay-to-play. An academy-minded approach focused on good coaching and real growth, so the value families get is measured in players developed, not invoices sent.
Transparent by default. We want families to see the things that matter — how much and why their player plays, how they're developing, and how the club is run. Fair, development-first playing time only builds trust if you can actually see it.

Where we're headed

We're starting in the Kansas City metro, where we live and play. Over time, our vision is to grow the model across the heartland — the flyover country that too often gets skipped — so that more kids in more places get a real shot at the game, regardless of what it costs.

The founding team

Flyover FC is being built by a small group of Kansas City–area soccer people who came up in this game and want to open it up for the next kids in line.

Bryan is a co-founder of Flyover FC, where he leads the club’s technology and helps organize its officiating. Now a Kansas City–area soccer fan, he started playing soccer in the area at the age of 3. He would go on to play for the newly-formed Stars (which would later evolve into Sporting BV) up through high school, where he was a member of the first team from Blue Valley High School to make it to the state champioship. He did not play in college, but rejoined the sport afterwards. He spent five years as a certified referee and helped co-found and assistant coach the rowing program at UMKC — experience building something from nothing that he’s now putting toward a club made to keep competitive youth soccer within reach for every family.
